Jesus’ Teachings on Baptism
Jesus’ teachings on baptism are rooted in both His own example and His direct instruction to His followers.
1. Jesus’ Own Baptism
Jesus went to be baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River, even though He did not need repentance. He said, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15).
