You and I are the Salt and Light explained

I wanted to add this explanation to what it means when we are told to be the Salt and the Light of the earth. It heled me understand the first blog post today.
Bible Scriptures About Being Salt and Light
The Bible teaches that believers are called to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world,” meaning we are to positively influence and guide others through our lives and actions

On Being Salt
Matthew 5:13 – “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”
Mark 9:50 – “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves and be at peace with each other.”

Meaning in the Bible
Salt in the ancient world preserved and enhanced flavor. Jesus used this image to show that believers should preserve goodness, add flavor to life, and prevent moral decay
Light dispels darkness and reveals truth. As “light of the world,” believers are to reflect God’s love, guide others, and make His presence visible
In practice, being salt and light means living with integrity, showing kindness, speaking with grace, and doing good works that point others to God
